2021 has been a challenging year for many. I know, personally, that I left Afghanistan in June and watched as the country fell to the Taliban provincial capitol by provincial capitol. For many veterans who have spent years of their careers in Afghanistan, it was incredibly painful to watch. As the retrograde concluded at Hamed Karzai international airport, America watched as 13 of its sons and daughters were killed in action protecting the airfield as plane after plane departed the country.
Today, we salute the veterans who have served their country. Whether on the fields of Normandy, or in the heat of Helmand Province, each and every veteran deserves recognition for what they have done for honoring the call to serve. A strong supporter of veterans, Adam Evans, has shared with me a number of resources that he feels would be worthy of sharing on this day. We’ll take a look at a few of those below:
- SNAP Benefits
- VA Housing Grants for Disabled Veterans
- VA Home Loan Calculators For Families
- Veteran Friendly Employers
- College Resources for Vets and Their Families
- Work From Home Jobs for Disabled Vets
- PTSD Coping Mechanisms
- Military and Veteran Service Organizations
- Top Veteran non-profits
Enjoy your Veteran’s Day and thank you to all of the veterans and families out their who have met the call to serve.
